Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has lauded International Breweries Foundation, the social investment vehicle of International Breweries Plc, for awarding grants of over N73 million to 90 deserving young entrepreneurs through its Kickstart initiative.
The landmark award ceremony took place on Thursday, 28 November 2019, at the Edmark Centre in Lagos.
International Breweries Foundation has said it has earmarked 70 young promising Nigerian entrepreneurs to be awarded grants of up to N3 million each as seed money to help kickstart their entrepreneurial dreams. The grant, which is coming under the yearly International Breweries’ KickStart entrepreneurial initiative, will be disbursed to the beneficiaries at a formal award ceremony, this week in Lagos.
Aiming to secure the buy-in of shareholders and potential investors to its proposed rights issue, International Breweries Plc (IB Plc), a proud part of the AB Inbev Group, the world’s largest brewer, has organised investors’ fora in Lagos, Ibadan and Port Harcourt.

The 2019 edition of International Breweries Kickstart, the innovative youth entrepreneurship programme that empowers young people with the financial muscle, training and mentorship to implement different entrepreneurial ventures, has progressed to the next phase known as the Boot Camp. The initiative received over 17, 000 applications across the Country.
